The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut
The rising star has substantial social media audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent supporters as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several international courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa essentially told me to compete and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the best player globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face some of top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes golf to new audiences, specifically with younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
