Mohamed Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team following the uproar from his televised remarks.

What Happened

He was omitted from a key Champions League match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had soured.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I apologise.’”

Arne Slot has refused to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

Team Unity

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” he continued.

Jones also noted that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

Positive Results

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the situation. He feels the Salah's words were not intended to cause disruption.

“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a desire to win,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
